The 2012 Honda Pilot is powered by a 3.5 liter V-6 that drags 250 horses and renders 250 lbs of torque. Front wheel drive and a five speed automatic are standard to all 2012 Pilots, but all wheel drive is available on all trims. Currently, the 2012 Honda Pilot SUV is available in four trims; LX, EX, EX-L and Touring models. The LX model is the standard model which comes with a 17" steel wheel, rear privacy glass, automatic headlights and keyless entry, cruise control, seven speaker audio system, front and rear air-conditioning, trailer hitch and an auxiliary audio jack on the CD/MP3 player. Other options are offered as upgrades and available for other trim levels. The EX adds fog lights, an eight way power driver's seat, steering wheel audio controls, Bluetooth phone complete with audio connectivity, 18" alloy wheels and tri-zone climate control. The EX-L includes a sunroof, leather upholstery, heated front seats, satellite radio, auto dimming rear view mirror and a power passenger's seat. The top of the line touring model gets you all of the above, plus the optional features of the EX-L version, such as voice activated navigation, a rear DVD system, 10 speaker audio system, parking sensors, and roof rails.
The interior of Honda Pilot SUV is remarkable as well with spacious seating, especially at the third row seating and cargo. On that note, the seat cushions in the rear may not be compatible for taller passengers as they tend to flatten. Additionally, all Pilot SUV models come with all power door locks, power windows, air conditioning, keyless remote entry and AM/FM/CD audio system. Safety features include curtain airbags, front seat airbags, ABS, and stability control. For a reasonably priced, fuel-efficient compact family car, the 2012 Honda Pilot SUV is a good alternative. However, if you want to maximize the value of your money, there are better options available in the market today.
