The 2012 Porsche Boxster S Black Edition also comes in standard, "S "and "Spyder" variants. The luxury coupe features attractive styling, inside and out, and with a style inspired by both a Spyder-like look and the Porsche Carrera GT, this coupe is one of the most attractive we've ever seen. The Porsche Boxster, after review, has an excellent amount of power-especially in its sporty "S" variant, and the Black Edition only adds to its aesthetic appeal. The Porsche Boxster S Black Edition features a powerful 3.4-liter F-6 engine that produces 320 horsepower and 266 pound-feet of torque. The Black Edition S variant reaches 0-60 mph in 4.7 seconds PDK and 4.6 seconds PDK with Sports Chrono option. It has top speed around 170 mph. Acceleration from 0-99 mph is at 11.4 seconds for the Boxster S Black Edition coupe with the standard transmission and 11.2 seconds with the PDK transmission It features a six-speed manual transmission or a seven-speed PDK transmission.

The 2012 Porsche Boxster S Black Edition coupe has a starting MSRP around only $65- thousand, which is generally lower than most other luxury sport coupes. On the downside, the Boxster S Black Edition, like many sports cars, has rather unimpressive fuel economy ratings at 19 mpg city/ 26 mpg highway, or 20 and 29 respectively, when equipped with PDK transmission. Standard all-black accessories are plentiful and include a twin black tailpipe, a SportDesign steering wheel, rear side air intake black-painted grilles, a 19-inch Boxster Spyder wheel that's painted black, Bi-Xenon headlights with dynamic cornering lights, a black-painted roll-over bar with a three-piece windstop fastened, auto-dimming door and interior mirrors with rain sensor, rear-wheel drive. The Black Edition is based on a Boxster Spyder chassis and comes with a full-color Porsche crest. In keeping with Porsche's recent trends, there will be a limited number of Black Edition models produced.
