The compass has been given a new updated interior with better visual features, giving it the edge over some of its rival SUVs. Jeep wanted this SUV to be all about style and not so much luxury and comfort. You will find a newly styled steering wheel and door trim that is soft to the touch which adds to the visual appeal. Jeep has succeeded as well in making the compass more mobile when it comes to going off road with the all new 4WD system. So, those enthusiasts that love going hiking, camping, and doing other outdoor stuff could really enjoy the off road package that comes optional on the Compass, as this package rivals other SUVs on the same line. Jeep has definitely made the Compass affordable, fuel-efficient, easy to drive, and rugged when it comes to off-roading

The Compass comes loaded with 17 inch wheels, a cd player, roof rails, rear seats that recline for a more comfortable ride, and 4WD options. It also comes with a 2.4 liter four cylinder engine pulling in 172 horsepower and getting on average around 22 miles per gallon in the city and 28 miles per gallon on the highway. Jeep has also given the compass an all new suspension makeover which gives this SUV a ride of improved solidity and dignity.

Jeep offers several different packages for the 2011 Jeep Compass. One of them is the Security and Cargo Convenience Group package which gives the Compass many new features. These include an additional security alarm, an auto-dimming rearview mirror for night driving to cut out on the blinding from the cars behind you, a cargo cover so no one can see what you are carrying, a trip computer, and front side airbags. All of this is to allow for additional security and safety. The Freedom-Drive II off Road package gives the Compass an engine oil cooler, active 4 wheel drive, skid plates, and tow hooks. The Sun and Sound Group package comes with all new upgraded speakers, satellite radio, and a sunroof. If you add the media option to this package, you will receive a USB audio jack, a navigation system, and digital music storage in your 2011 Jeep Compass.
